Chongfu School, with its rich history and deep roots in Singapore's educational landscape, stands as a testament to the enduring value of holistic education. Established in 1915 by the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan (SHHK), the school began as Chong Hock Girls' School, catering primarily to the daughters of the Hokkien community. Over the years, it underwent several transformations, including a name change to Chongfu Girls' School in 1917, and eventually, Chongfu School in 1987, to reflect its co-educational status.


The school relocated to its current premises at Yishun Street 61 in 1985, marking a significant milestone in its development. This move facilitated the incorporation of modern facilities and a broader curriculum, positioning Chongfu School as a leader in primary education. The school's motto, "忠, 孝, 仁, 爱" (Loyalty, Filial Piety, Benevolence, and Love), underscores its commitment to instilling traditional values alongside academic excellence.
